  • I loved this book, it was actually a really nice surprise as I didn’t realise Elen wrote fiction. I brought Moon Song to read on a long train journey in the summer as I had really enjoyed her factual books such as Elen of the Ways & Celtic Chakras so I thought I would give this a go and brought it without reading the description, was so glad I did as I got instantly enthralled in this magical romance. Elen describes everything so well you feel like you are actually in the story and I especially loved the parts set in Cornwall. I’ve never read a book like this before with the mix of romance and lots of details showing Elen’s knowledge of old myths, legends and even permaculture, it made this book a fantastic read and a lot more imaginative than just your standard romance novel, you actually learn something too!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As well as a beautiful story of love and loss, it captures the wildness of it’s Westcountry setting. Gently weaving myth and magic into modern life it offers the reader an escape from ‘reality’ and window into the other worlds. It definately joins my library of british fantasy writers. The cover doesn’t quite hint at the characters hidden within.

  • I really liked this book, and bought it because I already had ‘The Owl Woman’ by Elen Sentier in paperback. It is a simple story, well told, of Isolde, her new love Mark, and Tristan, Mark’s mentor and friend, a musician who killed himself before his time. Together the three must follow the moonpath and bring Tristan back to complete the moon song of the title. They are aided in their quest by the faery folk, and – well, if you want to know more, you’ll have to read the book! The characters are believable, even though the story is fantasy, Sentier reminds me very much of Terri Windling, putting well formed characters into surreal situations, and the tale is told with heart. Set in Cornwall, there’s magic and mystery aplenty, and it is a good story to curl up with on a chilly winter day. I am looking forward to the next novel by Ms Sentier, as she is becoming one of my ‘go to’ authors.

  • My 22 year old daughter and I have read and loved this! It’s a book of magic, romance, and imaginative intrigue….in a natural earthly spiritual way, Elen Sentier weaves a beautiful tale which leaves you wanting to be Isolde, the heroine, and have all that magic, adventure and love in your life!

  • The measure of a great book is when you can’t put it down. Moon Song did that for me. A modern day story of mystery, magic, love and journeying into the faery realm. I would like a sequel!

  • One of the best books I’ve ever read. Filled with magic, love, enchantment…I literally couldn’t put it down! The descriptions were so artfully woven I felt as if I was right there with the characters…walking the moon path, listening to the music, solving the riddles. I can barely wait to read another book by this amazing author! Highly recommended.
